Xcweather is a good site for getting a day to day forecast. They update their weather info every 20 mins, with the closest station being 5 miles from the beach. Hovering over the arrows displays current speed and clicking them shows the forecast. This is one of Trykitesurfing.com's most used weather references.

Easytide is a very simple website which shows accurate tide-times. This is not neccesary but helps you know whether or not your kit will get soaked while you go for lunch etc. Trykitesurfing.com lessons will still go ahead regardless of the tide-times.
